Is this username & password only or does it work with a Token?

I entered username and password on the ID page, under the authentication method.

For IPSec device, this should be provided by your VPN provider. It was called "Server address or name" in the checkpoint secureclient software

Thank you for the guide, it's very much appreciated. As for me, it makes the connection (have the green light), but I can't connect to anything in the remote network. Any ideas?

I quote Pablo:
what did you put in USER FQDN?
I found this hint, but I can't get it working.

# user-id-string: get it from the subject-line
# of the client-certificate
# ATTENTION: use it backwards!
# e.g.: subject=/O=fw.microsoft.com.rytez3/OU=users/CN=fejf
# becomes the user_fqdn:
# "CN=fejf,OU=users,O=fw.microsoft.com.rytez3"

Same here. No VPN option in network applet despite having installed all network-manager plugins/packages. With this guide I got the VPN up in a few minutes.
